The dependable, mid-size Chamaecyparis obtusa ‘Verdoni’ displays clean, bright yellow fans of dense foliage and a gently drooping leader. Each tree slowly develops into a naturally irregular, compact pyramid that makes a dramatic addition to small garden spaces and large containers throughout the year. ‘Verdoni’ demonstrates good sun tolerance but benefits from afternoon shade in the hottest climates. Performs best in moist, well-drained soil.
