One of the best plants for the shade garden, this native perennial emerges in the spring forming ladders of oblong cool green foliage brushed with white variegation along arching stems. White flower buds dangle on the underside of arching stems with the leaves carried above and open in May to little white tubes that give the plant a pleasing, delicate appearance.
