Liriope is a tufted, grass-like perennial with a clumping form. It has strap-like, arching, 1-inch wide, dark green leaves with yellow margins. Blooms are tiered whorls of dense lavender flowers born on 4-to-6-inch spires. Black berries form after the flowers. Mow in early spring to remove old foliage. Great for groundcover or edging.
