It is a large Plum with blood red juicy, sweet flesh and lots of uses from fresh to preserves. Vigorous and a heavy producer, it needs another Japanese Plum to fruit. With its late August/early September maturity, 'Elephant Heart' will be the last Plum to harvest. This Japanese plum yields large, heart shaped fruit which is dark red and very sweet.
